This is what you see scrolling down your IG feed of this beautiful island, Bali. A paradise. But is this the reality? Well this side might shock you.

Over 240 tons of trash are produced each day in the southern part of Bali alone and 25% comes from the tourism industry. Statistics show that one tourist produces an average of 5 kg of trash per day. That’s over six times what an average local would produce a day. Most of all the waste ends up being burned or dumped in rivers, backyards and landfills. Mudfish No Plastic focuses on educating the local youth in a fun way about plastic pollution. Mudfish No Plastic is a relatively new organization, founded in 2017, which will build greater capacity for impact in the coming years.
